The Hayes kid probably impressed me more than anyone on the team in a game against West Jessamine last year that was played at Lincoln County. He would come out of nowhere to make tackles. The QB is also a player and from what I'm told has colleges looking at him. The line played tentatively in the game that I saw, but, they were very young and it was the beginning of the season so they were mostly a sophomore line that was just getting going. Most of that group of linemen came from a nearly undefeated team (lost to Rock early) as eighth graders that were in a conference that included Boyle, Mercer, Rockcastle, Danville Independent, Lincoln and Casey Counties. (The old Salt River Conference) That group will be juniors this year.
They have an excellent coach in Mark Scenters.

Good information. This looks like it will be a very competitive district that has so far flown under the discussion radar. I just doesnt have the "big names" that everyone talks about. I know nothing about Western Hills other than their coach from last year (I believe) is now at Shelby Valley. They are definately a wild card here.

I agree 100%. We've only played Western Hills in Basketball (Boys & Girls), Baseball and Softball
