I agree that they would've gotten to the finals that year. Was it 2006 when Raceland had Scotty Grizzle (sp.) at QB? He was easily one the best players in the state. I do remember in 2006 they were in the same region as NewCath (state champ), Beechwood (ended regular season #1 in class A), and Covington Holy Cross (ended regular season #3 in class A behind Danville). That region was loaded

He was QB around that time. I cannot remember if that was his senior year or he had just graduated. I remember Raceland had the lead against NewCath at the half that year in the regional finals and just wore down in the second half.
You left out LCA from that region. They were the only team to defeat Raceland in the regular season and had a home playoff game against Raceland. That season was Hayden and Whitt's freshman season.
