I thought that the KHSAA determined who went where. They sure as heck do in football. They're always moving teams around there and the teams don't have any say so.
I know I'm kicking a dead horse. BUT, if enough people kick a dead horse at the same time...it will move....lol. I also think it's funny that "everyone" pretty much agrees. But, only one or two stop it. I thought majority ruled.

The KHSAA does have the last say however, there is a proposal process as well. In addition they take a look at travel etc when looking at circumstances such as this. IMO if the economy was not in the shape it was it would be more feasable to go to the 4 team 59th and 60th. However, based on gas prices and travel at this time it is not feasable to send BL to ER once a year and vice versa. While I am aware SF seems way out there its actually closer than ER, same as Valley is correlation with Allen Central.

However, I do like the idea of getting rid of the district tournament and then take the 15 team region and making it one large tournament. In essense though with that each team would viable have to play a home and away series in a season (28 games) which is not a realistic idea. Or we could divide into an East and West. Where you play a home and away with the teams in each conference then play 4 out of conference opponents. Top 6 based on Conference record make the tournament. Bottom 4 play play-in-games (4-5 for each to play the top ranked team) others are seeded. Thus you would have 1-4 East 1-4 West. Just and idea though.
