Wrong. They only state final appearance Bullitt East ever had prior to Preston's arrival was in '94.

The other sides to that are:

1) When he took over at East they started out the '08 year 1-3, before he started went from the veer to a primarily wishbone attack that year.

2) He was at Louisville Western in '06 and '07. In '06 they were a region finalist.

3) In his 3 years at Rowan County ('03, '04 and '05). He went 1-9 his first year (which was about par at that time in Rowan County), then 4-6 and 5-5 in his last year.

As far as the records of playoff teams, considering their first round opponent was a 4th seed 1-9 Atherton team (2-8 counting the forfeit from western), that beat out a 0-10 (1-9 counting the forfeit from Western) Breckinridge County team to get in, you really can't count that against East and Preston, nor any other #1 seed that has played a #4, especially a #4 from a 4 team district. I'd say 0-10, 1-9, 2-8 records from the 4th place team in 4 team districs was quite a few.

So really, the best year he had was his FIRST year at Bullitt East.....but then he followed that up with 4-7 and 4-6 seasons.

His best year at Western was his first (06'), but followed up it up with 4-7 in 07'.

He did show improvement at Rowan , but in his 5-5 season 4 of his wins were over teams that were either 0-10 or 1-9

EVANGEL - They were 0-10 and only scored 17 points all season.
GREENUP COUNTY - 1-9
SPENCER COUNTY - 1-9
BATH COUNTY 1-9

So I don't really think you can argue that they improved THAT much from their 1-9 season in his first year.

Anyway....just wondering why you think he would have success @ E-Town, because I don't really think his previous coaching experience shows it.
