I guess its the same reason western ky teams dont travel much, to far and cost to much.
some mountain teams do travel to get the best competetion.

As do WKY teams but it makes more sense for us to go to Nashville, Memphis, Evansville or even St. Louis area due to being closer for deep west teams. There are many series with TN, MO, IL and Indiana teams just as Im sure there are some playing teams in EKY from WVA, TN, OH and VA.
Usually its the stronger teams that seek out distant competition. The more of them you have the more likely you are to see a team travel.
