I figured Miami's 98 & 99 years recruiting classes would be higher on the list. Those teams had a ton of players to play in the NFL. I'm a bit surprised a team from the 40's is #1.

I think they went strictly off performance in college as a whole team not how many went to the pros. I too am surprised that the number one team is from the 40s, but its not even the only one from the 40s on the list.
