Ashley Mullins had 15 points and eight rebounds to lead the Lady Dragons (14-9) over the Cougars (17-5).
Holy Cross led 18-12 early in the third quarter, but Harlan closed with a 15-5 run to gain a 27-23 lead entering the fourth. Sydney Morabito's basket pulled the Cougars within 32-29 with 51 seconds left, but that was as close as they could get.
Morabito scored eight points to lead Holy Cross, which was last year's All "A" runner-up to Newport Central Catholic. Kim Mingus, Morgan Wimberg and Maya Hardin each scored six points for Holy Cross, which shot just 33 percent (12 of 36) and committed 15 turnovers.
