I guess I didn't make myself clear, I was trying to say that I thought you would be happy they lost, because they beat Gonzaga and they are in the MWC, (I think)

the Zags are having a down year and I don't think SDSU proved a whole lot by beating them.
I don't really follow the MWC or anything.

It's just that everyone seems offended that SDSU was in the top 5.
They were in the tourney and performed well last year, they have a coach that has a title and several great seasons at Michigan, and they have a lot of great players as well.
They have Mr. Basketball in California on their roster, some strong underclassmen, and some great leadership on the team.
Someone brought up football, but this is completely different.
In football it's all about recruiting, because you know your players have to stay a few years and develop. In basketball you can get 5 decent players, and in 4 years they could be just as good as 5 one-and-done players and you don't have to recruit hard to get them. You also don't play half as many games.
To reel off 20 straight wins is a big accomplishment. I'm sure in those 20 games they've had players foul out, other teams show up and don't seem to know how to miss, get no love from the refs, had a team come back on them, but they always left with the win.
For anyone to be 20-0, ranked in the top 5, and people say they are overrated is just wild to me.

I'm not an SDSU fan.
I just think everything is leveling out a little in college basketball. We're going to be seeing a lot more of these "Kansas-Northern Iowa" games in the tourney because we'll have teams with around 30 wins show up with a senior loaded team and just out hustle the big guns.
