Because Calipari "suggested" that Jones had played selfishly against Alabama, maybe a better measure of the effectiveness of this new coaching method would be his assist numbers. Against Alabama, Jones had only 2 assists. Against South Carolina, after his coach's pep talk, Jones managed to dish out half as many assists as he did against the Crimson Tide.
