KentuckyGent44 Wrote:When #5 JK Hall was fouled by E Rowe, (on a trip call), why did the referee(Hall) allow #2 Wade Skaggs to shoot the foul shots? I want to watch the replay on TV today to see if I am wrong. Is it a walking call if a player uses a different pivot foot (from a stationary stance)?

After watching the replay on IMC, channel 5, the referees did let the wrong person shoot the foul shot. Everyone in the gym knew it except the man who called the foul.

There were two instances where the wrong person was charged with the foul called. It should be easy for a referee to see the large number on the jersey and not make a bonehead mistake. Why did not the other two referees correct the erring official? Would that be under the striped-shirted brotherhood's code of ethical behavior? The main objective is to call a fair and just game, letting the focus be on the players, not the referees.
