Disagree.

Holmes didn't have the depth last year or the year before to press.

People fail to realize that Holmes started the 09 season (state title year) as a pressing team. They pressed Bryan Station and got blown out of the gym. Henley went away from the press the rest of the season.

Results? Second go around with BS they play a half court man to man and force Bryan Station to beat them with good offense and Holmes wins by 18 on BS home court. Henley knew what he was doing and the results speak for themselves.

People also fail to realize that the 07 and 08 teams were also uptempo teams that pressed and ran.

Henley had success with both styles...it's all about personnel though. Holmes had the athletes but didn't have the quickness or depth to press his last two years. Look at the 07, 08 and this years' teams...not a player over 6'4. Last years' team and the 09 state title team had 6 or 7 guys over 6'3. They weren't built to run and press, but rather use their athleticism and size in the half court offense.
