Handchecking - Point of emphasis this year
#5
I want to see how long it lasts, when refs go into say CLAY CO. and foul out 4-5 of their starters, we will see how long the handchecking lasts. Teams like Clay, HC, North and South, Whitley have always played in your face pressure D and this will greatly limit that approach. Unless a player is gaining an advantage, the trivial Handchecks I am seeing called are a joke. This is typical KHSAA though, instead of working to clean up the whole game, they find one thing and radically move on it. I have a better idea, how about actually teach the refs to call a competent game. The 13th region is in for yet another poor season of officiating once again. It is obvious that most of the guys/gals are in it for the money. If they call all the handchecks in a game, the games will last 2hrs. I cant wait to see how the boys games go since they are way more agressive on D.
