The decline of Paintsville football has a direct correlation with the asscent of Hohnson Central. Paintsville used to get all of the talent in Johnson County. Now Central does. I think it is just that simple.

No its not that "simple". Centrals success may be part of it but their is more to the equation then just their success. If Paintsville took all of the talent in johnson county they would have won state titles. Jc has always had talent but the coaching before musick and jim matney was terrible. Coaching hurt jc in the past and has hurt Paintsville recently. Jc's success has made city kids leave Paintsville and kept county kids from leaving the county. So I can agree with it being part of the problem but that's not hurt the program near as much as the school system has hurt itself with their decisions on coaching.
