Forfeits happen because of 6 classes of football, plus 3 and 4 team districts. Easy decision for a struggling school. Pay a $1,500 forfeit fee or pay out $2000-$3000 in traveling expenses for a three hour bus ride, two meals , bus mileage and driver to get beat by 60. This will continue to happen until realignment is corrected.

Exactly, I understand the financial aspect of it but i think you have to let the kids play. If they spent that much time and effort all season to actually make the playoffs then a coach or a AD steps in and say no were not going to play. That's not right. Even if you know your going to get beat with a running clock I think that you have to give the kids a chance especially the seniors. You never know what may happen.
