Same could be said that Davenport's speed and being so elusive makes him more versatile. And, his strenght is vastly underrated...... I'll take Davenport for my money..... But Jude is one heck of a running back and possibly will go farther in football (college as Davenport.)
Two outstanding running backs! Would love to have either one of them on my team.
And can I add, Davenport's rushing stats would be more than Jude if he ran the ball as much as Jude. But again, I'll take either one of them. As far as that goes, I'll take them over any other running backs in the state. These are two special players to say the least.:Thumbs:

And if Johnson Central carried the ball fewer carries and was used less frequently in short yardage situation than he is, his average yards per carry would undoubtedly be higher. You cannot just assume that if Davenport carried the ball twice as much, he would gain twice as many yards.

Matney is a big believer in wrestling being the best off season conditioner for football players, and I fully agree. I doubt that there is a running back in the state who is in better condition than J. J. Jude, who plays both ways and gets few breathers when the game is on the line. What do you think Jude's numbers would look like if he only played offense?
