The best defensive player you have seen or played with?

Jack Lambert Wrote:Hatz, you made me think of some one else that played for Boyle. Dormas Russell, Dormas wasnt all that big,but if memory serves me right he was one of the best defensive backs ive seen at the high school level.i just thought of Lee Shuere not sure i spelled it right but Lee was one heck of a player.

Dormas was a good tackling Saftey, like Ronnie Lott, in that 6-2 that Greg Young went to in '81.

Lee Scheuer made plays. I think he might still hold the record at Boyle for most interceptions in a game, season and career. He had 3 once or twice in a game. 9 I think his Sophomore year. He was crazy.

If we are just talking Boyle County from back in the day:

Kyle Lorton at Defensive Tackle was a stud. (played at Maryland as a Center)

Kevin Lorton was a great Defensive End.

Mark Overstreet was another great Defensive Tackle and Chris Hilton was a stud D Lineman.

Some great LB duos were Todd Noe/Billy West & Vance Curtsinger/Mike Edminston.
