Can any 5A team beat Highlands?(seriously)
adopted purple Wrote:Lets be realistic. Highlands is not as good as last year (Thank God). I think Bowling Green, John Hardin and Christian County all have a chance to win this year. Christian County plays Oakland High School Friday. They are the #1 team in 6A in Tennessee. We will see how that goes. Highlands is a High School Football team and as we have seen in the past, anything can happen on a given night. I wish somebody would beat them so all these message boards would stop talking about them like they are some kind of mythical team sent from God to dominate Kentucky high school football. Of course they can be beat!

I think a very legitimate argument could be made that Highlands is not as good as they were last year. The question is: do they have to be in order to win state again? How far must they drop in order for BG, JH and CC to have a chance? Having not seen either of those three teams play this year, I have no clue if they have a chance or not, but if I had to guess, my guess is that those three teams are each very good and would give Highlands a very good game.

Good luck to CC this week. I hope they win. I pull for every Ky team playing an out of state team.

And while I too get tired of all the Highlands threads (and I'm a Highlands fan), Tradition is correct. When they stop talking about you, you've sunken into mediocrity.
