I'll admit we have some arrogant fans, but if we are being honest with one another, you'll admit that before both of our recent matchups, there were some rather arrogant JC fans guaranteeing a JC win and talking about how JC was just going to smash mouth the ball down our throats on the way to a JC state championship. Hopefully you don't include me in the group of arrogant Highlands fans, but heck, if we have some arrogant fans, perhaps they've at least earned the right to be that way. I'll repeat what another poster said, it isn't bragging if you can back it up. I'd rather Highlands fans not brag though.

Personally, I respect and support programs that do things right and win, regardless of whether they have a handful of arrogant fans or a ton of arrogant fans. Fans, good, bad or otherwise, don't figure in who I support. Personally I think tradition is right on point: I think it's some flaw in human nature that causes people to root against people/programs/teams that win all the time.
Posters who brag can't back anything up unless they are also players or coaches. And if the behavior of fans, players, and coaches don't figure in to which teams you support then do you just flip a coin to decide which team to support? I have a hard time even watching or listening to a game when I don't care who wins or loses.

Highlands football has a long winning tradition and is favored to win almost every time that it steps onto the field. Its fans have had time to learn to be gracious winners. They certainly have had plenty of opportunities!
