I don't really understand this decision personally... Shelby County is not horrible academically anyway and a kid with his talent will get into any school he wants. So why take an entire year off from organized ball? He can't practice with them or anything so it's all individual skill development. I think he would have gained more by just staying in Shelby County.

If he makes high enough on the ACT, if not prep school. His name is already out there and with AAU he will still get the exposure. Looks like he and his family are looking at the big picture, I support that.
