Home and away contracts are in place for a reason. They come with stiff financial penalties for not honoring the contract as with any contract. It is a very time consuming process to complete a game schedule. Most schools are using a 3 or 4 year calender. So if LC wanted to play Boyle or Bell or anybody else it may take two or three years to make that schedule adjustment. And the whole tougher schedule argument is baloney. Your athletes, practice, conditioning, game plan and mental attitude win or lose games regardless of the opponent. And this is all determined by the coaching staff and the players buying into the coaching staff program. Most players could not tell you who the next opponent is because they don't care. All they care about is winning the game.
