It is being reported that Obama and his administration refushed help to clean up the spill from other countries. On day 2 after the spill at least 4 countries offered the services of skimmers. These large vessels could remove the oil from the gulf. So why didn't Obama accept these offers? Two reasons were reported, one was that these vessels could not collect 100% of the oil they pumped into the vessel, a small amount of oil would be released back into the water. The EPA does not allow oil being released into the waterways of the U.S.A. The second was the Jones Act, in which foreign can not enter U.S. waters, however it should be noted that Bush wavied the Jones Act during Katrina. Now fifty some days later the Obama and crew decide to accept the help and 4 skimmers were brought into the Gulf, these vessels could remove upto 36,000 barrels of oil every 24 hours. After just a few days the Coast Guard shutdown these vessels for over 24 hours. Why? Because they didn't have enough fire extinguishers or life vest on board.

This is our great government at work, and some expect them to direct the new healthcare plan. That's scary!
