Work ethic can only get you so far. Take Landon Slone for example. He worked harder then just bout anyone when he was at Uk but he still didn't do anything special when he got playing time. You have to have the natural tools to be able to compete at a high level.

PC_You_Know Wrote:I'm going to assume not too much since WVU's were average at best and they took down the Wildcats. Maybe we should see what it takes to play PG in the ACC since the national champ came from that conference.

Average at best?? Final Four team are only average at best?? Let's leave it up to the NBA scouts to know what it takes to play PG and see which is drafted first between a freshman Uk has in John Wall or a senior PG at Duke .... hmmm what's that kids name again??? :lmao:

Did Landon win a state title? Did Landon win Mr. Basketball? Elisha has the tools, the days of comparing Elisha to Landon Slone are long over.

Maybe for you, but in the real world there's not much difference in the two and I think you will see similiar results in playing time and performance at that high level of competition.

How can Landon's HS career compare to Elisha's?

It doesn't but that still doesn't make me believe that Justice was a better player. Give Landon the players Justice had around him and you could have had the same results. Bottom line is you're in love with Justice and I have non-biased opinion and If I had to pick between the two I would probably take Landon because he shoots the ball better and he's 4 in taller. Justice is quicker and passes the ball better, but that's it, but really there's not much difference between the two.

Paintsville had 5 Seniors that year, just like Valley this year. They had a good team, remember they beat Valley in the Semi-finals. The argument is over, Justice had a better HS career and acquired better accolades.

Sure, if you're looking for a SG, Elisha is a PG. No way Landon would handle the rock for a ball team.

Do you not comprehend anything??? We were talking about "POINT GUARDS".. but then when I prove you wrong there, you start to bring up other stuff. So what is it you wanting to debate.. PG or teams??

You brought up teams by saying who can and can't play PG in the big east.

Now that you're wrong about the teams thing you want to blame me for throwing this off topic.

Talking about who can or can't playing pg in the big east has nothing to do with teams. So I don't know where you get that from. But like I said, we will let the NBA scout evaluate talent and see who gets drafted first.. Wall or Scheyer..

Doesn't matter who gets drafted first, how about more like who won more titles in college? And don't say anything about being a Senior, UK had the #1 and 2 players in the class and only made the Elite 8. How about the fact that(more than likely because I assume you're young) while you've been alive Duke has 4 titles while UK has 2? This is a college forum, if you want to talk about pro careers, start a thread in the pro forum, in which case I won't even look at it cause I'm discussing college sports.

When comparing talent, it does matter who gets drafted first. The scouts don't say, "Hey that kid won a championship so I'm going to draft him." But since I shut you up on the subject of Wall and Scheyer, we will start talking about teams and championships. Let me remind you who has more wins and championships between the 2. <--------- That's 2 things I've proved you wrong on.. Keep it coming and I will continue this trend.

Once again, we're talking about college, I don't care about pro careers, so sure, you shut me up on that. And sorry that I don't count championships from 1940 against the Lexington YMCA as a title.

LOL, because our players make good GPA's right? I'm jealous of your players who have below 2.0's and only get to the Elite 8. LOL!

Elite 8 with the youngest team in the field of 65 is pretty amazing. But since you are having a tough time comprehending things tonight, I will point out every little detail we are talking about in this debate. You made this into a DUKE and UK debate and in which UCLA has nothing to do with this. Between PUKE and UK, who has more wins and titles?? Confusedhh: Now go to bed young en.. It's past your bedtime..

This is stupid. I think that UL will have a sub par lineup in comparison to past years. Elisha is a solid player and Lord knows that I love the kid who led my old high school to a title. But after that kind of attachment, I think that he will be around 10 minutes a game next year (maybe-and that is pushing it). I want to be wrong on it but his size may be an issue that will just take him some time to adjust to. Please stop the discussion and talk about the UL lineup.

Sounds good.. Well first of all, Justice WILL NOT see the floor at all unless UL is up by alot, which won't happen because... well we all know they are going to be horrendous. Siva only averaged 10 minutes a game last year he was a Mcdonalds all-american. So don't get your hopes up on Justice because you will set yourself up for disappointment. :redboxer:
