Considering they just traded for Brady Quinn, this suprises me a little. I do not believe that they are going to use him as a quarterback. I think he would make a great tight end if he has decent hands.

Great pick up for the broncos. Despite the critics, Tim Tebow has enough determination to totally turn a program around, He will be a starting quarter back in time. Great guy and even better player, seeing Denver pick character over skill, says a lot about their organization. Good luck to their future success.

better tight end
04-23-2010, 10:58 AM
i think you will see him in various sets; tight end, slot, h-back, qb, and maybe even tail back. my guess is that they will use him about 20-25 plays a game and get about 15 touches. they will try to develop his skills as a qb and eventually make him their full time qb.

This was a choice because of his versatility.

I believe Mr Tebow shocks a lot of people and becomes a successful QB and wins a Superbowl and makes several playoff runs.

IMO i think its a waste. He is not going to be a pro style QB. Hes not a tight end. Its more less a Publicity Pick.

Hahaha.
First of all McDaniels is trying to set up a team in Denver that is full of winners, and not a bunch of whiners. Tebow had a win percent of 85 While at florida and is arguably one of the best college football players to ever play. While at Florida he had a completion of passes that was a 66.4? pretty darn good, he threw for 9,285 yards, also pretty amazing, and had 88 TD while only throwing 16 interceptions in four years, once again, amazing. He also rushed for 2,974 yards and for 57 TD as a quarter back. Yeah id say hes just as much ready for the pros as bradford who didnt come close to having a career like tebow.

Your comparing Tebow to Bradford when it comes to Pro style QB? LOL?
Bradford threw the same amount of TD that Tebow threw! only Playing 2 Seasons. College stats doesnt make u ready for the NFL. The Game is completely different. If bradford would have played his junior season, you could add 35-40 more Touchdowns, 4000 yards, And probably the Heisman.

Bad decision in my opinon, the Broncs just traded last season and picked up orton, then Quinn then another QB and then you waste your first pick on Tebow while you have more questions at the WR position and somewhat on the O-line as well. Not to mention you traded off Marshall which leaves a HUGE vacancy at your number 1 or 2 WR position. I dont understand it at all and I think this Broncs team is going to be in some big trouble this season. Good luck to Tebow and the Broncs though only time will tell...

The difference is, Tebow wasnt a BABY. Unlike Bradford he can take hits in the pocket, something a pro style qb should be able to do, Bradford gets hurt every other play. As for stats, tebow WON championships, Bradford didnt, What do they want in pros? stats or championships. HMMM?

Tebow was a great choice. He is versatile and will make the BRONCOS better. I look forward to watching him lead Denver in the next few years.

Ok Duke won the championship, there fore kyle singler is a champion, TAKE HIM OVER JOHN WALL!!!!!! Are you serious? Your argument is weak. Tebow does not even compare with Sam Bradford for a PRO STYLE QB!

Great post 15th. I agree with you 110% on everything you just said. Its not that I dislike Tebow, and the media he gets. Its the decision making from the Broncos, especially after they bring in Brady Quinn, who IS a pro style quarterback, and with them needing WR's, a couple of o-linemen and some depth at other positions.

For what its worth, I dont think Bradford will make it in the NFL, and neither will McCoy. The two THAT WILL make it will be Clausen and Tebow. Bradford is too fragile (got KOd for the season the first solid hit he took in college), and McCoy flat out QUIT on his team the fifth play of the national championship game (which Im sure had a lot to do with daddy McCoy though). If neither McCoy or Bradford can take hits, they wont last. Clausen and Tebow will both be fine. Tebow will succeed in time, in the right system. Clausen, IMO, is the best QB in this draft.

Bradford didn't play in a pro style system either Killer. That was one of Rams concerns when they drafted him.

I have no faith in Clausen whatsoever. He couldn't win games against weak competition in college. There's a reason he dropped from a top 10 pick to the second round.

I think the reason Notre Dame lost all those games was because they had nothing that remotely resembled a defense. IMO, Clausen did his part, but the defense didnt do theirs..Charlie Weis is high on Clausen, and Big Charlie knows a thing or two about quarterbacks and pro-style offenses lol..so Ill take his word for it.

I don't see why people make a big deal about it anyway its not like Denver is there team anyway and so what if they draft Tim because they think he will be the future of the team. None of us are a NFL Scout so we don't know what he can do or what they saw in him but it looks like it was something McDaniel's can Mold QB's he is good at that and im sure Tebow wont start but he will sit and watch and learn because he is willing to do so and he will make a fine QB one day.
