I can't believe you think just because someone wins a Mr BB award they automatically become UK material. You need to research the previous 5 Mr BB award winners and then tell me that makes the winner good enough to play at UK. I'll give you some help on that. There is only one that contributed to a upper level D-1 program, and if the team wasn't on probation his playing time would have been very limited if the players had stayed that were there then. His name, John Pelphrey. He stuck it out and it paid off for him. Todd May lasted 1 semester at UK before transfering. Ervin Stepp played a little at EKU (Mid Maj). Kelly Coleman played at Division 3 Ky Wesleyan after the WVU invistigation by the NCAA.
JR Van Hoose had an excellent career at Marshall Uni. where he set a couple records for himself. J had bigger D-1 offers but chose the school he felt comfortable with. (Mid Maj) Of the 5 previous winners only 2 players had really stellar careers. One at a upper level D-1 school and the other at a Mid Maj. D-1 school. So don't think just becaus you win this award UK will knock down your door and offer you is a given.
I like EJ as a player but I also like UK and want only the best players in the nation there. I have never bought into this "you really need a Ky boy on the team" deal. I don't care where you're from as long as you can play there and contribute to the success of the team. The last 15th reg player to go there didn't work out, not nearly athletic enough to contribute.

— Finally, we got more news from the Commonwealth’s favorite Shelby Valleyian Elisha Justice. His coach said that Justice would only be interested in Kentucky if he was offered a full four-year scholarship, which technically doesnt exist since all scholarships are one year reneweable, but you get his point. The comment seemed to be a bit of a line in the sand, and could raise the stakes on his recruitment. When I spoke with him on Friday, he made reference to hoping for that 4 year scholarship, but did not say it in an ultimatum type way, so I dont think the requirement is as strict as it has been portrayed. Either way, expect Calipari to stil pursue Justice and it will be interesting to see what the kid ends up deciding. If the offers are equal, Louisville probably has the edge, but Calipari has more room to wiggle scholarship wise than Pitino probably does at this time.

If he goes to UK he will end up like Landon Slone or John Hood! I would pick UK over UofL but I know I wouldnt play. It would be nice to be on the team though.

To be fair, Landon was promised some things from Gillispie and then he was fired. So Landon knew his chances weren't good with Calipari and sticking on the team.

Jon Hood was not recruited by Calipari, but when Cal was hired it was too late to recruit most of the guys he would prefer, so we had spots available on the team and Cal took him.

Coach Cal actually called Elisha to recruit him onto the team. Now I'm not sure if he actually likes Elisha's game or just wants Elisha to keep a few of the boosters/fans off his back. Either way, it's a win for Calipari. He gets an in-state kid who probably will not see much time on the floor in-front of the high school All-Americans and would be mostly used as a practice player OR he doesn't get Elisha, but no one can argue that he didn't try.

In the end, I'd like to see Elisha at Kentucky. If he keeps his work ethic up and he catches on early at Kentucky and proves that he belongs on the court with some of the nations elite/NBA prospects then Cal will play him. Because no coach will deny a player of time when the effort and production is there. Plus, this will provide a lifetime full of memories for Elisha and the blue bloods that are located here in EKY will treat him like a celebrity for the rest of his life and he will be well taken care of.

I do think that in the end of this recruiting process, Elisha winds up being a Card.

What about how UK needs help from the free-throw line, you cant count on one and done players to knock down pressure free-throws when the game is on the line!!!

There gonna play in the Maui Invite next year with one of the most competitive field in Maui Invite history (Connecticut, Kentucky, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Virginia, Washington, Wichita State and host Chaminade University)

Looks like my little excitement for EJ to be at UK as ran its course. I wish Elisha the best at UL but as of now, I will have to root for him to score 40 points a game and UL loss every single game..... Sorry bud I am loyal to my players and my schools (Elisha, Valley, and UK) but I will not be anything closer to a Card fan.
