There is a rumor that Scaggs from Lawrence might be transferring to Elliott County. I spoke with someone who works with his Dad and he said that it is a possibility and that he would like him to. Would be a great needed shooter for the Lions and would make them state contenders IMO.

Sure this is just one group of players but they were winning before Coach Booher . Some of these kids were winners of state championships in middle school .Their middle schools have good coaches. They have a peewee league there that starts their kids young. Rowe was winning and if Booher leaves or goes. That seed will be there for years. Valley looses a lot but new players will come, Through Virgie, Dorton, Millard , Elkhorn, Pikeville or even some other High School or county or state. But those coaches born an raised in the Valley will always be there. And that desire to win will always be with those coaches. Who haved ruled the 15th region in the last 8 years. They have had different players and coaches to win it all in that region. They just know what it takes to win the state now.So a good coach could and its not impossible to be right back there next year. With the boys sitting alot on the bench this year they could still beat most teams around. And put the big kids from their feeder schools and the transfers .They may win it all in the region for years to come.
Sorry Blueblood, I know you want to hold on to the dream that valley will always be great, but to say they will continue because their winning will produce alot of transfers is flawed. If that were the case Paintsville would still be winning after the vanhoose and bill mike days.. Your selecting the desired ends and justifying the means.

They did practice against them,, and i bet they never beat them, or came close,, while it prolly did make them alot better, they will be playing teams that return varsity players that actually played against them which also made them better..

yes other teams did play them. but they played them, what? 2 or times a year? Valleys underclassmen practiced everyday against them. Valley will compete in region maybe win it. Im just sayin dont sleep on them. Cause they can put you away very quick.

I say the winner of the 15th comes out of one of these three teams:
Belfry
Betsy Layne
Johnson Central
I really do not know what to expect out of Shelby Valley, because the only player I've seen play is Zach Ramey and no one knows if he'll even be eligible to play next season.

Valley has some good kids coming through but they are a year or two away from doing some damage. I am really excited to see see if they can compete for the region crown but if it takes too long to get things rolling then Valley may not get out of district.
