Newport plays at beechwood, but newport has looked good in the scrimmages they had this year and only lost 1 and that was against highlands and newport lost by 2.....any predictions on this game???

Should be a good game,don't know alot about Newport but Beechwood is very young and the bats might take sometime to come around. But defensively they are very sound, I'll go with the Tiger in this one.

Newport will have some solid defense but their pitching is still questionable. Klass is a good pitcher but suffered from injuries last season so he will be questionable as to whether he is 100%. Newport pitching will be a questionable factor this season. Beechwood is always solid and should be a threat in their district.

idk, newport is returning half of their starting line up from last year and if you didnt know they have 4 kids from that American Legion team when they were younger that won city 4 times.....Travis Jones, Brandon Sizemore, Shawn Klaas(beat highlands in the district championship in 06 as an 8th grader), Kenny Trimble(Very Big Bat), Derick Dieters, Rodney Orr, Brandon Brown, Mikie Kroth, and Ian Plank are the starting 9 for the Cats
