i didn't keep up with it last year

When to they announce Mr. Basketball is it after the game?
#5
When do
#6
Elisha Justice SHOULD be Mr. Basketball. There are no excuses now. Sewell done this, Ricardo done this, none other than Elisha Justice won state baby!!!
#7
Elisha deserves it far more than the other candidates IMO
#8
i doubted Justice all year, and Valley. but they have proved me wrong. Justice is the best player in Kentucky. hands down.
#9
If Justice doesn't win, then somebody should seriously look into how Mr. Basketball is being chosen. He was the best player from start to finish.
#10
Justice in a land slide.
I thought he would win it if SV made it out of the first round.
It would be a travesty If he doesn't win after winning a state tournament
#11
elisha justice all the way

Does Sewell's resume include being the MVP of the state tournament? Elisha's does.
#14
the championship game is the 1st time i got to watch SV,very impressed the way they play team ball.. what a great run fro those guys
#15
I watch every game at state and it had to take exactly what Justice did to win Mr. Basketball. I think that he should win hands down with Paulson from West Jess. second followed by Sewell and Johnson. Justice proved me wrong so many times and deserves this award, if he doesn't get it then the Mr. Basketball is a joke like last year IMO.

Elisha couldn't have done anymore to prove he deserves Mr. Basketball! He leads Shelby Valley to back to back All A state title games but more importantly he leads them to Shelby Valley's first state title and in the first three games, you could not have asked for more. I think he average over 20 points for the tournament, not to mention he didn't just break but smashed the all time steals lead for the state which shows he plays on both sides of the ball!
#17
Scotty Hopson should have won it 2 years ago but he didnt go to UK so he couldnt!
#18
Wasn't the ballots for Mr. Basketball cast by all coaches 2 weeks ago? If so, they should back up and recast those votes. Justice should have it, hands down.
#19
Tonight was the most impressive game I have seen him play. To perform the way he did under intense double and triple teams was amazing. History was written tonight guys and Justice EARNED the award this week.
#20
Justice will be Mr. Basketball.
#21
Now that all games are in the books, who wins Mr. Basketball? Justice? Sewell? Someone else?
#22
I said in one of the other 50 threads about Mr. Basketball, that with Justice Steals record, if SV got deep into the Sweet 16, he had a great chance to win it. Now that they have won it all, I beleive he is a lock to claim the prize!
#23
Yeah, its hard not to give it to Elisha Justice, especially after the tournament he had. Congrats to whoever wins it, but Justice deserves it IMO.

Justice deserves to be the winner IMO. He has proven it time and time again.
#25
should be all Justice, and if he dont get it, then something is wrong.. He truly is, the best player in Kentucky...

Who do they annouce Mr.Basketball?
#26
When do they annouce it?
#27
I think no doubt that Elisha Justice should win it and if he does I wonder if Pitino will offer him a scholarship because I have never seen a Mr. Basketball be a walk-on.
#28
if Elisha does win Mr. Basketball and Louisville don't Offer Him A Scholarship but UK Does, Would Elisha Change His Mind and Come To UK instead Of Louisville????

Justice will win and because he won state he probably deserves it but IMO Sewell still had a better year overall because he played and won against MUCH better competition.

Even in the state games the only quality team SV beat was Ballard. Now, as I said all season, what would have happened if they played a tougher schedule, maybe they win as many if not more games than Trinity but if you put Trinity in the 15th, play the easy state schedule to get to the finals and see what happens against Ballard in the finals, I think we could be making the same argument for Sewell!

That being said, I think Justice will win and he certainly is deserving but I will argue that Sewell is an equal, if not better, player overall!
