Matt Day to enroll at Hazard High tomorrow!
#1
Sources have told me that Matt Day of Buckhorn High has enrolled at Hazard High and will begin classes tomorrow. If true, Hazard will now be a heavy favorite in 14th region next year.

BIG NEWS!!! If it's true of course.
I would definitely consider them on the same level as Knott County with him on the court.

If this is true, No doubt Hazard will be the preseason Number 1!!!!

Just a question. How is he going to become eligible? With the mandatory year that he would be required to sit out, unless he is ruled eligible, he wouldn't be able to play basketball for Hazard next year.

people always get around the rules.. if someone posted how they got around them, they'd probably lose their case

If he and his family move into the city of Hazard he will be eligible.

Help a basketball novice...what position does Matt play, and who does Hazard project to start next season?

He is not going anywhere. End of discussion.

Hmm. If true, bad news for the rest of the region.

Let me say this one more time....MATT DAY IS NOT GOING TO LEAVE BUCKHORN! HE IS NOT LEAVING BUCKHORN. There it is again for anyone who didn't read it the first time. I have personally spoken to the ultimate reliable source.

Whether this rumor is true or not, Hazard sure has had a great record over the years of good players moving into their school district, beginning with Johnny Cox in the 1950's right on up through the Sizemore brother/sister duo in the 1990's, and now the Bell Co. kids. And many more in between.

I suppose Hazard is a good job market and a lot of people move there for work. And having a kid that can shoot the rock or clean the glass like a windex man prolly helps on the job application.

If Milam says it's not true that's good enough for me. :notworthy:biggrin:
