Whos the best playes in your region?
10-27-2005, 10:11 AM
13th --- John Smith Harlan
Many may say Walt Allen now that South is in the 13th, but IMO will really miss having Eric Fields around, had a good run, plays hard, but overrated

Walt Allen from South Laurel would have to be the best player in the 13th region. He won MVP of the Sweet 16 and he is a top runner for Mr. Basketball.
Allen even has his own Mr. Basketball campaign : VOTE FOR WALT :

In my biased opinion I would say that Justin Hicks is the best overall player in the 14th Region....Of course, he will need to prove this as the year progresses, which in my opinion should not be a problem....

not puttin Landon down or ne thing but how is he the best i mean he is only a Sophmore...i mean wut about all the Juniors and Seniors in the 15th...i mean c'mon

Jesse Meek---15th Region. He may not have had a season like Landon Slone last year, but we are we livin' in the past? Exit Slone, enter Meek

Landon Slone for sure-he might only be a soph but he can flat out play the game better than anyone in the 15th

But everyone has their weaknesses. Can one player take the whole 15th region? i have my doubts. the team with the best team chemistry will come out victorious.

I think by the end of the season Shawn Thompson will have a little to say about who is the best in the 15th region.

Tiger Fan..open your eyes.
Landon Slone AND Jamie McCarty IMO are the best players in the 15th region..it's hard to pick between the two..Slone drives to the basket better...McCarty has a better jumper and long range shot...Slone shoots freethrows well...McCarty's great under pressure...Slone isn't very athletic in terms on jumping...McCarty is...McCarty's defense may be just a little bit better...I'm a tiger fan and realize that...If u wanted a point who has great skills to get to the basket..pick Slone....If u wanted a high scoring offensive threat who gets others open because of the double team...pick McCarty.
McCarty has been shadowed the past 2 years with Trimble and his style of play. He was shadowed behind Music and Hatfeild. He wasn't the center of the offense who still managed to put up big numbers. On the other hand, Slone was the center and we relied on his very best game night in and night out (14-15 record and a young team). This year Johnson Central will need his best game night in and night out.
McCarty and Slone are the best in the 15th Region. Period.

I disagree. Brandon May from SC is better than both of them.

15th- Landon Slone
Just look at the numbers as a Freshman, now think what will he do now w/ a years exprience under his belt. We are not living in the past, we are just stating who we think is the best player worthy of being called the best in the region...

The 16th region is competitive this year and as of right now, there isn't really a best player in our region. Here are a few people I would consider.
Ashland- Matt Thomas, Drew McDavid
Boyd County- Billy Blanton, Antonio Owens
Fairview- Justin Hutchinson
Morgan County- Blake McCowan
Rowan County- Matt Daniel
Russell- Austin Blair, Jonathan Vanhoose
