yea, thats not good sportsmanship at all.

You do have to keep in mind the VERY heated rivalry between these two teams, which is almost at teams seems more like hatred rather than rivalry.

That's rediculas. I agree, if Perry/Haz meets, Hatcher will remember that one. That's going to wind up biting Hazard in the a**. Perry will definitely play with a chip on there shoulder.

It's in reference to the whole Perry/Hazard/Buckhorn thing. It's the kids that all these people are hurting. Creating problems where there shouldn't be any, if the adults would lead as examples, the kids would sure follow. But look at how the parents and administrators of these schools are acting, it's ridiculous to watch. They need to set better examples for our future leaders in this county.

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:...my guess is this is not the 1st time this has happened between these 2 teams in the past and I am sure it won't be the last...the key for me in the game is going have to be Stidham...is he 100% from his injury and if so will he have a good game with the speed on the defensive end from Perry...going to be a great game...GOODLUCK to both teams
02-23-2010, 03:07 PM
The real key for this game is "Does Chris Noble really have MONO?" Word is from the Commodore camp is Coach Hatcher hasn't been at school for 2 days with some kind of sickness and Chris possibly has MONO. This is not very good news for the Dores. Looking better and better for an upset in the making. Good luck to both teams.

It's definitely sad that the adults do this.
The whole ordinance that stops Perry/Hazard mathchups through the season is basically just a band-aid attempt to fix a problem that is always going to be there as long as this is hyped and treated the way it is....
and in the basketball situation I think it's a bad idea altogether.
Now we have a possible Perry/Hazard game for the District title and the teams have not played each other all year....
The tensions will run much higher, the hype will be a lot bigger, and all the things that caused this rivalry to be disbanded to begin with will be exponential.
I'm ready for basketball myself though!
The kids do a good job of leaving it all on the floor and playing through the madness even though some of the fans and school officials take it too far.
Good luck to both teams tonight.
These two teams make for such a great game.
Perry takes the air out of the ball, runs their halfcourt sets, and makes every posession count because they lead the state in FG and 3pt FG %.
Buckhorn is a tough and scrappy teams and gets a lot of second chances as their star player Matt Day is #2 in the state in rebounding(Which he is only .1% from being #1).
GO DORES

The only thing I have to say about this is that the goal is the same height in every gym, the floor the same length. What difference does it make, where you practice! PCC uses this as a fire to light up Buckhorn, PCC by 15.

Even if the gyms are the same, the crowd makes a big factor in any game, Refs too.

Doesn't make too much of a difference, but all gyms have different shooting perspectives with the different backgrounds and it's nice to get adjusted to each gym before you have to go and play a big game, but I guess that is what warm ups are for. It's not like most of the kids haven't played there before anyways. I'm sure they will be well adjusted by the end of the 1st quarter and both teams will be ready for action. Good luck to both Perry county teams.

No need to attack the commodore fans.
I admit it doesn't make that big of a difference...
but it's a slap in the face to the players, school, and fans to let one team practice and tell the other they can't.
It's a half-hearted attempt to jeopardize the integrity of the game and it is a bad idea to do that to the #2 team in the mountains(see the current Mountain Top 10).
And I guess since the #1 team in the mountains is Shelby Valley that makes Perry the #1 team in the 14th!!!!!!!!!

This will be a hard fought game with 2 of the better teams in the region. Sure PCC is favored and should be. I picked PCC but will be pulling for Buckhorn to the end. Buckhorn knows PCC will slow it down. Everyone knows that. They must take advantage of when they do get the chances to score. That hurt them in the previous games. Plus Martin and Cornett are big factors. Buckhorn has height but PCC has a little more strength. Should be a fun one.
