Knott Co. Central 55 - Perry Co. Central 52

I know Holmes and Newport don't play in football anymore because of some issues over the years but they still play in basketball and every other sport.

Hopefully the coaches and administration of both schools (PCC and KCC) will be able to keep things under control if these two meet again. I don't want to comment on any particular players but from reading the closed thread......:wtf1: is all I can think of to describe my feelings.

These two teams are too good to let emotions get the better of them. Good luck to both moving forward.

Well there exaggerating it but I agree. A rematch for the right to go to Rupp is pretty much inevitable.

Congrats on the win over a very good PCC team.

Would love to see a rematch come region tourney time.

After watching KCC in th WYMT tournament and this game, I also think that they have a very good team. KCC beat a very good team in PCC, I think they are both very good teams and one of them will be representing the 14th region in Rupp.

Mountain people love their basketball. It's nothing to see 3,000 -5000 people at a KCC home game. These two schools really don't like each. How many people at the game last night 3,500?

They really don't. I'd say Knott is our second biggest rival to Hazard. And they was a lot of people there last night. They was more at Powell Co last year.

Powell county was at regions. This was a regular season game.

Basketball in the mountains have been the community social event for years. If you have never been to a game where two close communitys play, it is worth the price of admission to come and take in the atmosphere. I have been to games where people have been stabbed, fought in the stands, I even saw one man pull a gun in the 1970's at a Wheelwright/McDowell game. I have seen people fight in the parking lots and even saw a school bus that had a several windows broken out from upset fans over their home team getting beat. So to say that basketball is "intense" in the hollers of Eastern Ky is a mild understatement.

That is the problem, the adminstration don't try to keep things under control. They are as imature as the students !!

We all known Stuart Stamper is the ultimate fighter. Right? Tyler would mop the floor with him. And let's not talk about how Tate and Stuart would keep their composure under situations like that. Stuart recieved a tecnicl foul for smack talking against JBS and acting like a child. Kids make mistakes, that is why they are kids.

Exactly. This is high school sports; Tension gets high sometimes.. its inevitable. Half the people on here complaining are probably kids themselves. Only thing their doing is getting another thread closed, zip it already.

It was a close game, but the pats come out with the win! Congats Pats!
#44
I think both of these teams will make it far.

Excuse me but throwing the ball at the pep section is not inevitable...That is childish....
#46
KCC fans didnt act like that when they got beat IN OVER TIME at PCC s house There pep club is something to be kept in a small area[ cage:blabbermo:eyeroll:] and not turned loose on fans The sheriff had to sit them down. They talked filthy
#47
Can you guys not ****ing read? The other thread got closed because of posts like the last two. Discuss the game and not what happened after it, or what the pep sections did.

Thats just horrible to hear! Nobody should act like that! You have to just take your loss and handle it like a true athlete and get ready for the next matchup instead of acting like an overgrown baby!!! If i was Stuart Stamper's parents I would deffinetly press charges for that uncalled for and wreckless behavior!:redboxer:

But on the other hand Congrats to Knott Central on the win, looks like the better team won tonight!

leecoukfan comes in and has no idea what's he's talking about EVER. You have to look at it from both sides, not just the rediculas Knott Co perspective. And did the better team win? IDK. They spilt the season series. Well see who the better team is come region.
#51
Good all around game for both teams. The 14th region will be interesting to say the least.Right now,KCC and PCC, are in my opinion the two best teams so far.Looking forward to a hopeful rematch in Jackson.

Yup, you're right i NEVER have any idea on what I'm talking about on any subject! So I will stay out of all PCC threads so that I don't sound stupid since i have have never been to any of their games and don't know anyone from there, which is a total lie but whatever I can do to make things better for you Aslan!

And thank you. I believe you made the right decision.

I'm not condoning what he did. But the fact your making such a big deal about someone letting their anger get the best of them is down right stupid. I'm sure he regrets what he did. Not one person can say they've never acted on their anger and did something they've regretted. **** happens; Moaning on BGR about it all day isn't going to do anything except get the thread closed.

Enjoy it now KCC, you won't beat Perry again this year.
#56
It all comes down to Pcc not being able to handle a loss..especially from KCC...It was a ballgame and there was no excuse what so ever for anyone to have acted the way they did.....We'll see triplemaniaman about Kcc not beating Pcc again....Our boys are hungry for it...and last night just proved it.....

Perry's going to handle the loss fine and I'm not talking about what happened after the game. IMO this loss helps them more than a win. Definitely don't want to attempt to beat Knott Co three straight.
