I'm inclined to agree with you to a certain extent. I DO believe that after UK's loss that a Big East team SHOULD have been #1, whether it be Villanova or Syracuse. However, Kansas was at 2 and they took care of business against a good K-State team. I think that is why so many votes were split up.

If KU hadn't been number 2 in the polls already they would not have moved to number 1.

Syracuse is the best team right now and before the tourneys start I expect to see them in that ranking.


But as of right now the current polls are dead on except for the ESPN/Today poll.
Cuse should be #2 with Nova #4.

I thought it would be:
#1 KU-Because they were already number 2 last week.
#2 Cuse-Arguably one of top 3 teams in the country.
#3 Nova-Haven't lost in weeks.
#4 UK-An away loss to a conference opponent isn't the end of the world. Therefore it shouldn't drop them any lower. I'm surprised to see UK in front of Syracuse however.

I am not a UK fan but NO WAY is KU better than UK. Kansas is overrated IMO.

My sentiments exactly. I jokingly told someone that Duke would probably fall to 8th after their last loss. Seriously, it is a joke that they stay so high and have so many holes in their team. They are without a doubt the most overrated team in the nation.
