Thanks for the update Coach, wow,we are running out of games, nearing the end of regular season, just when I was starting to have fun, with the second ALL 'A' trophy in our trophy case and Elisha Justice nearing the state record for steals in a career.

Well they rlly have no competition left, except for Perry & that should be a real good game.

No Competition until the stte tourney....Hate to say it.

Folks where saying the same thing last season, but Perry Central sure did give them a run for their money. I'm not much of a betting man, but I'll say Perry Central gives them another good game as this season its in Hazard.

Agreed. Valley beat Perry Central 64-60 last year @ Valley, this year its at Perry Central and it could be a different tune.

Can't wait to see shelby and perry go head to head; I'd love to see how perrys going to fair against them.

any valley fan knows to be nervous about that last game on the schedule...

The SV/Lawrence could be a good game. SV is averaging 76 points per game and Lawrence is at 72 points per game.

So would they not have any competition in the 15th either?

^ Thx. So it sounds like SV has a ticket to Rupp. Who is the 15th Region matched up with in the State Brackets?
02-02-2010, 11:23 AM
Region 1 - SV has the advantage for sure, but I don't think I would go ahead and give it to them by any means.

I think that last game on Feb 19th good be very interesting considering that it will be played at Perry Central. I think there's a really good chance that the Commodores could win that one! Should be a great game either way though!

Season not over until the last game is played. Everyone is saying they will win the rest of the games and the region but I remeber a time not so far ago when the same thing was said and they didn't make it past the 1st game in the region when pburg beat them. These boys are good but beatable so lets not sing our victory songs yet.

Nobody but Perry Central will give them anything. Dont hate the Wildcats, they are our children and represent the 15th and Pike County well. I always post that I am not a SV fan, to the contrary I am a Pikeville fan. That said I could not be prouder of what this SV team has accomplished.
Lawrence fans must remember they are only king of baseball and there dominance there is not like SV's basketball dominance. SV will beat LC by as many as they want.

SV may be lucky to make it out of their district. I wouldn't make room in the the trophy case just yet for a state championship trophy.

I wouldn't call 20+ points barely getting by.
If SV beats ER at SV they will lock up a spot in the regional tournament. It isn't a sure thing, but the odds are pretty good.
I don't think anyone is expecting a state championship. Hoping maybe, but definitely not expecting. If SV makes it out of region, it will take their best ball of the year by far to even have a shot at the title.

I agree. Perry lead most of that game too and it was @ Valley. Also both teams were better last year, but there both still good this year. If Perry can slow the game down it could be interesting!

Read the post from LC fans, they are insane. I am not from SV but they have ZERO competition in this region. I dont think anyone is predicting Sweet 16 championship. Also visit the Baseball forum for some arrogant reading.

First off this game has no bearing on SV's or PCC's regional tourney's or the chance to make noise at the Sweet Sixteen. Having said that I think PCC could win this game at home.

yea, they play this little game and they get the idea that they are better then Valley, when they really have not proved nothin all year long..
We beat ER more then you did, so where better.. blah blah blah. Same junk every year..
Im not saying were gonna beat you all, cause im not that Cocky. But the odds are in our favorite... umm about 50 to 1

I disagree with you there. That season finale against Perry Central should be a good one. Like others on here have mentioned, PCC gave Valley all they wanted last year, and this time the game will be at Perry's home court. And also remember that PCC played Christian County just as tough as SV did, so beating them at their place will not be easy.
Honestly, I would not be surprised to see Valley lose that game. If they do win it, it would certainly be a feather in their cap.
