Shelby Valley 80 Danville 56
#1
Final in quarters of the All "A".
#2
Personally, my player of the game would have been Tyler Newsome (#24). He had a very nice game and did it all at both ends of the floor.

Very nice player.
#3
A little bit of a slow start, but SV was able to get a lead and cruise to the win.
#4
Very good second half by Shelby Valley. This was a very physical and somewhat dirty game by both teams at times. I liked the play of Tyler Newsome tonight though.

SV is well on their way to a second straight All "A" title.
#5
Valley let Danville stay in it at the begining, but turned it around at halftime and went on to take the win

Valley plays UHA tomorrow
#6
Tyler has been up-and-down this season. He is the key to SV because he adds that 3rd scorer they need.
#7
Justice finished with 19 points.

There's always a lot of work to do. But SV is on their way like I said.

Good win for SV

The two Newsome's are the glue of this team - both are consistent.

Congrats Wildcats!
#13
The only "weakness" I saw with Valley tonight was them settling for so many 3 pointers.

I know they shot pretty decent finishing I think 7-17 but had they used their size down low the whole game, this game is even worse.

The Newsome boys are a nice 1-2 combo down low. If Hatfield would use his size more he would be much tougher to defend. He does have nice range for a big man though.

Justice played an all around solid game. He had several nice spin moves in the lane that resulted to nice "and ones." Didn't shoot the ball as well as I expected, but still had a nice game and had several big plays.

I think they said Justice is shooting just under 41% from 3 on the season. He is a little streaky. He has a tendency to get really hot at times, but has some sub par shooting games. He has gotten much better at finishing at the rim this season.

I liked seeing Coach Booher leave the starters in in the 4th. The announcers kept saying it was time to empty the bench but you don't empty the bench until the last couple minutes unless it is like a 40 pt game. Reward the starters for playing well and let Elisha pad his stats some so he has a shot at Mr Basketball since I am sure the other guys in the running will do the same thing. Congrats Valley.

Yea, he'd hit 2 or 3 jumpers in a row, then miss 2 or 3 in a row.

Justice did show some nice strength when finishing through contact.

Also did a nice job at finding the open man when driving.

Congrats Wildcats!

Congrats Wildcats!!!!!

congrats to sv

Good game all around by Valley. Really showed a lot of poise and control. The Danville players seemed to play a very physical game and came out with some energy. But after a few runs, Valley was able to sustain the comeback and spread out the margin before the half. The game coasted from there with Elisha doing what he does best and some GREAT performances from Taylor Newsome, and Ashley Hatfield... Really thought that Tyler could have played a better over all game but was pretty solid in the second half. Great game by the defending champs!!!

thats an understatement. they proved that danville is a football school here tonight -- wow I'm glad no one from valley was seriously hurt. good luck against uha wildcats!

Another cup cake game, but congrats Valley!
#24
Congrats SV. It was a good game for the first quarter, then Danville got into serious foul issues from that point on.
#25
Valley looked good tonight. They have a lot weapons. Danville had some really quick guards.

I was thinking Elisha.

I guess that's why kywldcat01 thought it should have went to someone else.

Another great win for valley.i think their next game will be a lot tougher for an excellent coach but if valley plays their game the way they can they should win by 10+. GO VALLEY
