The Perry Central girls are young but a whole lot tougher than the girls from LCC. The girls from LCC are soft. When the going gets tough, LCC gets out of the way. Get used to a several beatings the next 4 or 5 years. Randy has a special team coming up. A very special team. Its finally fun to watch PCC's girls play again. *deleted this sentence*. These girls come to play and are dedicated to the game. Hope they stay that way.

PCC wanted it more and deserved the victory. They won fair and square. WarMachine, enjoy the win but don't get too overconfident, if they play again this season it is going to be at LCC and this loss may light a fire under the Lady Cougars next time.

I hope it lights a fire. Its true.

Did not see this coming. PCC girls must be coming on quicker than I thought. Congrats to them.

Congrats to the Lady Dores, nice unexpected win against a good team. The young girls from Perry showed they can play with anyone in the region. Should be a good regional tourney, but it is at Letcher. Big advantage to the Lady Cougars.

Letcher will be hard to beat at home especially if Cook is calling the game.

In regional play, the refs are out of region. Cook very rarely calls an LCC girls game. About the only referee from Letcher County that calls the Lady Cougar games is Hutton. Campbell refuses to do any varsity games for the Lady Cougars due to him having taught at LCC and he has two nieces that play basketball for them. Melton doesn't call because he is a teacher at the school.

Surprised me, I figured that Letcher Central would just tear throught the 14th Region on to the Sweet 16 but now we have another contender! Congrats to the Lady Commodores!!

I predicted this game. Dickie Adams has always had major problems defeating Randy Napier. Good Win Lady Dores.

Great photo's just shocked at 2 quality teams and no fans in the stands is this the norm?

As much as I'd like to see Perry win the Region, I just dont think they can handle Breathitt. Noble and Breathitts BIG inside will be to much for the Dores probably. Also, if Bowen is hitting, they are even harder to stop. I wouldnt count out Leslie County or Knott Central either.
I still rate the region this way.
1. Breathitt County
2. Letcher Central
3. Perry Central
4. Leslie County
5. Knott Central
Any of those 5 teams could pull it off.

All depends on the draw, those are the 5 teams, depending on where they get placed will make things interesting. You could end up with one of them getting an easy walk to the finals and the others being on one side. Perry in one bracket and then Breathitt, Letcher and Leslie in the other would be the best draw for Perry to win it. Probably be between Breathitt and Letcher to see who goes to Bowling Green this year though.
