Well lets look at last years schedule and results.
Aug 29, 08 Sheldon Clark home 22 - 26 (L) Played right with Sheldon Clark. SC was a heck of a team.
Sep 5, 08 Knott County Central home 34 - 14 (W) Good win for Perry against their basketball rival.
Sep 12, 08 Letcher County Central home 33 - 32 (W) Perry beats a traditional football power. How many times did MC Napier beat Whitesburg? I dont know if they ever have.
Sep 26, 08 Hazard home 20 - 22 (L) Should of won the game against eventual Class A State Runner-up. Not to bad do you think? Hazard almost beat Beechwood if you remember correctly.
Oct 3, 08 Whitley County away 7 - 48 (L) Looks like Perry has a little trouble with the flexbone.
Oct 10, 08 Clay County away 25 - 39 (L) Come up a little short this season against a good Clay County team. Game was on the road.
Oct 17, 08 Leslie County away 49 - 24 (W) Good win for Perry against a school that likes their football.
Oct 24, 08 North Laurel home 29 - 22 (W) Good win in the mud.
Oct 31, 08 Harlan home 59 - 48 (W) Give up to many points in this game for sure. Maybe it was the pink uniforms. Hahaha.
Nov 7, 08 Prestonsburg away 20 - 21 (L) Almost beat a really good Prestonsburg team on the road. P-burg got to the final four in 09.
Nov 14, 08 Mercer County away 21 - 57 (L) Mercer County fresh off their state championship year. A little to much tradition and experience for Perry to deal with. When I say tradition, I am referring to the kids from Harrodsburg coming to Mercer. This is a football school Perry was playing.
Looks like to me that Browne is the best coach to EVER coach in Perry County period.

WARMMACHINE, you must be running the campaign out in front of the Madison County Board of Education. Let us all know when we can start the picket lines. My sign will say "Bert Browne" for the Texas Tech job...........Lol

I'd put Browne behind Chappell and the Dixon boys as the top coaches to ever be in Perry.

Not running a campaign, just telling the truth. Bert is a good friend and no need to say he doesnt care about the kids and stuff. He loves his players.

Like I said earlier...I would expect more from Madison Central than Browne.

Enough of the Bert Browne critique.
Who are these other great coaches that are much better than Browne that should get the Madison Central job? Do tell!

Dont think I'd mention this game if your trying to show how great of a coach Bert is. He could of taken a knee at the end of the game and picked up the W. Instead he wanted to run up the score on Hazard running a QB bootleg which led to him going out of bounds, then throwing the ball to stop the clock. Giving Mark and staff time for the fatal bomb! So instead of saying only lost by one to a single A team that almost won state, I'd say blew the biggest game of the year in most administrators eyes.

I am sure Madison Central will get a good coach.

The list is long. With the pay at Madison Central and the athletes they can do much better. He is not even the best coach in Perry County.

Any ideas when this soap opera will be over? Any predictions of when they will announce? Personally I hope they get him.:theman:

Madison central didnt win a regular season game last year and made it to playoffs because their district gets in automatically and they lost to henry clay, i beleive

In 2008 MC did go 9-3 and was beaten by Male in the 2nd Round.
The information you refered to is for 2009. Hence the nose dive reference instead of a steady decline.

Have they started the interview process yet? They`ll need to get the new coach on staff soon so he can get acquainted with the boys and try to turn next season around.
