According to ESPN "sources", Pete Carroll is leaving USC and going to Seattle.

Sounds like he'll have total control of the program and get to sign/trade players, that fit his scheme. Putting a staff together and evaluating talent will take time.
USC will have a lot of interest in assuming this role and be interesting to see who Mike Garrett has in mind.

Sounds like he is running from a program that is getting ready to take a big hit by the NCAA.

Normally I would have NO problem with a coach leaving a school/team but this smells REALLY BAD!
If NCAA sanctions end up happening, I wont think very highly of Pete Carroll. What's fair for the goose is fair for the gander.

Just reported that it's not final that Carroll is going. He backed out of an NFL job once before, let's see how this plays out
