PCC had to fight back the whole game they trailed 16-3 at one point a couple bogus technicals at the begining of the 3rd quarter really hampered the dores ability to come back PCC got some great minutes from Axl Sizemore and Dustin Brewer.

Good win for the Birds, PCC or Knott should be representing the 14th this year so whenever you can pull out a win vs a potential sweet 16 team its a plus... I am assuming all of the players that were out vs Newport were back for this one?

Perry simply got behind too much early trailing 16-4 at end of the first quarter but they made a huge comeback trailing only 26-22 at half.Trailed by 7 at end of 3rd quarter and lost by 4 against Highlands team rated 21st in state pre season in Lexington Herald.
..This should give Perry good experience going into later tournaments and even in consolation bracket here.I think they are playing the best ball in 14th region at time.
..Mullins had 16.Corey Martin had a good game with 13 points and Amis 7.
On defense they held Kowolonek to only 7 points but Watson had 17,Stewart 12 and Lother 11.
..This is Perry County's first loss.

I can't imagine Hazard or Perry Central either one would forfeit a game when they meet in a tournament.Gold Charger wrote they were supposed to play but coaches complained and got it changed.One I don't even know brackets can be changed but which coach are referring to or are saying both?Somebody else writes if both lose they play at noon Tuesday which sounds like bracket wasn't set up for them to play tomorrow.'
I used to go to this tournament a lot and had belief that say the first two losers of day would play each other but found that's not how brackets worked.It might be somebody from 2 or 3 games before or after it.Also there used to be multiple consolation brackets but there used to be a lot more teams too.There are only 19 this year.
..If Perry plays West Jessamine I know West Jessamine was rated 15th in state pre season in Lexington Herlad but lost a number of games early.They had huge win over Hopkins County Central Sunday.
..I know if Hazard had won they would have played Seneca.Seneca beat Boone Co. about 20 points Saturday.If Hazard plays Boone Co. they are rated 12th in state.

According to tournament bracket-Perry Central plays West Jessamine at 9 a.m. Monday.
West Jessamine was rated 15th in state in Lexington Herald pre season ratings and in Cats Pause they are 2nd in region behind McCreary Central in region 12.
West Jessamine of course features senior guard Polson rated 11th in state by Lexington Herald.

If it worked out that Hazard and PCC were to play each other, we would have played. As for the technicals, they certainly were not "undeserved." Hatcher ran his mouth at the refs for the entire first half and I guess they just wanted to let him know who was actually in charge...the refs and not Hatcher! Another thing...if Highlands had hit their freethrows, they would have won by 20 points, at least!

Oh well...on to the next game!

highlands hit their free throws? perry was the team that shot terrible from the ft line. they shot around 60% from the line. highlands shot great the whole game. the two technicals were called for hatcher saying it should b white ball(pcc was in white) and for an assistant coach standing up after one of pccs players were pushed.
