I was informed by an anonymous source that the Kentucky Wildcats football team got two more committments today but i can't guarantee that it's 100% true and I'm hoping that someone can confirm this for me!
I was informed that we have two coming from our pipeline that we have with the Alcoa Tornadoes from Alcoa, TN! It was reported to me that the ESPN RISE and Gatorade Tennessee player of the year Jaron Toney who 5'10'' 170 who set a Tennessee state record with scoring 50 TD's and had over 2300 rushing yards on the season and led his team to their 6th consecutive State Championship and a #49 National Ranking!
Also i was informed that Daniel Rockymore who is 5'10'' 180 has chosen to go to Kentucky and he played Wide Reciever and Defensive Back for the Tornadoes and also played some RB as well, he is the fastest player on this team and has amazing breakaway speed! I'm not sure what his 40 speed is but its somewhere between 4.2-4.4!

leecoukfan,
If you don't mind can you try to give me some more details to work with? I don't need a specific name but I would like to try and validate the credibility of your source. Are they a media member, someone with intricate access to the staff, someone with specific ties to Alcoa?
The reason being is as UK goes down the stretch in recruiting scholarships have became very scarce and UK has specific targets left on their board whop have official visits planned. I would love to give a heads up to The Cat's Pause and have them use their resources to follow up...but the sad fact remains that kids read message boards and a rumor could have a negative effect on UK's remaining targets whether it is true or not.
A poster on TCP with a very good history of getting inside scoops had made a comment earlier about something the staff told him in regards to the RB situation, but was not told any names (if any) of whop the staff was talking about. This certainly would correlate with that post, but I need something concrete before taking a chance.
If you dont mind I am going to label this thread as a rumor and hopefully our Alcoa posters will shed some light soon.
Thanks for the heads up on what you heard either way though!

Well it was actually my girlfriend's aunt. She has many ties or connections with local sports in the Knoxville area and she lives and works in Alcoa, TN. She knows Randall Cobb personally and is very close with current and former Alcoa coaching staff members. She usually has the inside scoop when it comes to anything that has to do with Alcoa but if i'm not mistaken i think she told me that this was on one of the local news channels in the Knoxville area. She is also very close with some of the local radio stations as well as Bruce Pearl. Im not sure how close she is or maybe with Lane Kiffin or if she has even spoken with him before. But, she is a very reliable source when it comes to sporting news in the Alcoa/Knoxville area! Give me some time or if you can find something out sooner I will try to get a definitive answer from her and i also know her friend who is a former Alcoa Football player and coach, i will try to get a definitive answer as soon as possible.
But, i do want to apologize for not labeling this as a rumor to begin with! I do realize that if its not 100% true or guaranteed that it can be harmful to players, recruiters, and other sources as well.

No problem whatsoever leeco! Lets hope it is true and the Alcoa pipeline is going strong. Let us know if you find something out.

I have asked around and think this is a rumor at this point. To my knowledge, KY is very interested in Toney but have all their football scholarships tied up at this point. If a scholarship becomes available (somebody de-commits) then I think he will get an offer from UK for football in addition to the academic one he has already been offered.
As for Rockymore, I can't find any evidence that this rumor is tue.
Again, let me state, this information is from my local sources (rumors also).

Thanks Fiftyish!
Toney is a really impressive kid and I would love to have him at UK. With that said, UK already has a commitment from Raymond Sanders, one of the top All-Purpose backs in the country, who is considered to be "smallish". UK has been very vocal that they wanted to land two RB's in this class... one being a scatback, multi-purpose back (Sanders), the other being a big, power back. Right now UK is after 4* Rajaan Bennett, 3* DJ Howard, and 3* Miles Simpson. Additionally, UK is still recruiting 4* Storm Johnson and 3* Trevaughan Brooks.
Those RB's I just listed are all 6' + and in the 200+ pound range. UK is down to maybe 3 or 4 scholarships right now (they technically are over their fill right now but attitrition and non-qualifiers brings that number down) and the staff is still very much focused on picking up a laymaking WR as well.

Storm Johnson apparently already verbaled with Miami per Facebook "Storm JohnsonY do I feel soo alone???? Sike lol I the happy man alive...got my new family the []_[]"
and ESPN this would have been a huge land at the beginning of the year we were high on his radar we was # 2 on his list according to ESPN but fell off the radar after losses to FL, Bamma and South Carolina

Storm is still listening to UK..... but there is a very low chance of him flipping.

Well by his facebook page it seems as if he is pretty content with the U (if you will)...By his status he has been spending quite a bit of time down there in recent months, plus he still has Mich State and Penn State courting him I think its time to focus the attention some here else...
