Bull crap! Benny, and these 90 yr old men add more time after we hit a shot. Then they RUSH the court, our court and jump and down like its football?! Powell fans have no taste!

I hate it when we get the old refs calling the game because they always make bad calls and we're the home team!!! It's like that everytime they do the game and i think that's BS that you have old refs calling a game making bad calls especially a highly contested one like this! I think everybody already new that Powell has no class and they did a good job in showing that!

But, the one good thing is that we know that eventhough Lee Co is down this year they're still in the top of the 56th District!! GREAT Bobcats!!

Great game by both the Pirates and the Bobcats, both teams played thier hearts out. Creech hit a great driving layup at the end to win. Lee is going to be OK everyone has Lee finishing last in the District, looks like they are going to be competitive and anything can happen. Pirates shoot lights out and come away with a hard fought victory. Refs didn't make a difference

How about you all man up and accept defeat. And the only reason Powell doesn't jump up and down on your football field is, well, because you don't have one! So instead of crying about losing on here, you practice more and get better. Ok? Thanks!!:1:

i agree both teams played hard and were very classy about it. i wish i could say the same for the fans on both sides

Powell county fans acted just like any other fans would. & lee county did the same. Also, i seen lee county fans flipping off the players and stuff, so is that taste? good game, lee co did good. and powell co did good. good job pirates!

Yes the refs added time for Powell and no one from Lee cried. Now that is how to handle adversity. The refs did thier job to the best of thier ability

Lets see. How to start this? Refs is a good one. Fouls in the third quarter? Lc had 4 fouls on them Pc had 9 or 10. Fourth quarter even 6 and 6. So look back to the top of this post and you will see Lc fan talking about the refs. Sencond both teams fans was wild. Lc officials did a good job at keeping one side from fighting the other. Third we rushed the court. Yeah we rushed the court.. Dont tell me Lc fans wouldnt rush IF they won. Hard fought game game in the end congrats to Lc and Pc. Tongue

Great game Congrats Powell County. Great last second shot to win the game by Creech 11 points, Reed 14 points, Brewer 18 points three in double figures. Keep p the geat work and play smart.

Congrats to both teams. Well hard played game on both ends. If this game goes down again at lee in district tourney i take lee by 15. Most does not have Lee in the running of the District title but you better think again.

This District is a toss up and they all 3(Powell, Owsley,Lee) have a chance to win it, because they are all down this year. Who ever wins the District just be happy about it and be ready for 1 more game in the region, because that is as far as they will get. Storming the court, REALLY! I guess they were just happy to finally get a district win. Smile

Don't complain about the refs, the coaches are the ones that pick who they want on the games, talk to them!:HitWall:

Yeah, they rank them and get to mark a couple off from calling their games but you will still end up with some referees you have ranked at the bottom.

We didn't rush the court when we beat Estill by 1 point with .6 seconds left, so no we probably wouldn't have rushed the court!

Well if you're going to look at it like that then Lee Co should be in the Top 10 as well because either team could have won that game last night!

I wouldn't be to proud of just cracking the top 10 in this region this year. After you get through the top 5 (Knott, Perry, Breathitt, Buckhorn, Hazard) the competition drops off considerably. 6-12 are all about the same.

You may not be but maybe they are. Lee hadn't lost a regular season game at home in 5 years and Powell broke that trend last night. Great win for the Pirates considering last year so stop trying to rain on someones parade just because your not in it!

For 1 you need to get your facts straight and for 2 you must not be from the 56th District area beccause Lee Co hasn't even gone 2 seasons in a row without a home loss, yeah we did win all our home games last year if i'm not mistaken BUT we did lose two home games in the 07/08 season to the best team in the Region Hazard by 1 point and to a down Perry Central team by 7 points. So i really don't know why you're trying to make it look like such a big accomplishment that you beat a undermanned Lee Co team who hasn't been this down in 5 or 6 years.

First, I'd like to congratulate Powell County on a well deserved victory. It was a great game and provided good experience to a young Bobcat team. Powell County has a great team this year, and while yes, there were fans on both sides who were really into the game, I think it's great that they are passionate for their team. Both sides had people who acted disrespectfully, but that comes along with a passion for your team. The only issue with behavior I saw was what happened in the parking lot; however, what is youthfulness for, if not to act immaturely? Smile

Close games like this are exciting to watch, and I have to say I am really proud of the way the Bobcats didn't give up and fought back. Luck just happened to favor Powell that particular night. And again, Congrats to both teams.

Best to both teams on the rest of their season.
