LC just looked off thier game tonight. Early foul trouble and turnoversreally hurt them. Any time we make a run and get close (or even take the lead), Magoffin would step on the gas again and run. Miller has them in great condition.

I'm fairly ceratin that the beginning of that thread says LC had 42 turnovers...not exaclty blaming the refs there. But since it was mentioned, the officiating was pretty suspect. I dont think I've ever seen that many traveling violations in 1 game. I heard that they weren't the original crew for the game... the old crew was replaced because they were "weak". I'm scared to see how bad those 3 would have done.

LC had 42 turnovers i would guess that MC probably had 25 or more. There were 87 free throws shot and probaly some where in the neighborhood of 55-60 fouls called. MC missed at least 22 of there free throws as Coach Miller so loadly exclaimed at one point. To even mention the refs in a game like that is ridiculous. Probably the sloppiest high school girls basketball game I have witnessed. Hats off to that crew of refs for at least keeping the game under control and not letting it turn into an all out war. Fans often want the refs to take a game like that and some how magically make it look good and they cant. both teams have a lot of work to do however they both did play extremly hard and hustled from start to finish which is a good building block.

It's early in the season and both teams have a lot of work to do and luckily they have a couple of months to improve. I don't think anyone who knows much about basketball would expect tournament quality performance at this point in the season from any team. Keep working hard girls.
