Rowan
East
Ashland
Russell
Fleming
Raceland.
I would still put RC ahead of East. I know East Carter won, but Rowan was missing their best player, and East hosted the EKC.
The reason to me Ashland is behind both is because they barely beat Fleming tonight, and everyone knows the 16th is a 3 team race this year. A win is a win for Ashland, but come on. That one is ugly.

Wake up call for Ashland...Please make a player comparison between Ashland and both the East and Rowan teamsand show how East and Rowan so far ahead of Ashland? As I've stated before, its wayyyyy to early to separate these 3 teams from each other. I guess we'll have a better gage on things after East and Ashland play on Fri. As for the Russell game, Ashland is better at both the guard and the post positions. Except for fan optimism (which I give you credit for), I don't think I would bet against Ashland on Sat (of course that doesn't mean that you can't:Thumbs

say what you want but i believe ashland is over rated and no where near the team of last season.

Of course that's your opinion, but Russell lost to both Fleming and Boyd. The bottom line is that Ashland beat Fleming and Boyd. I can also play the "what if" game and say that if Ashland hadn't blown out Fleming in their pre-season game, they probably would not have taken Fleming so lightly in this early season game. Fleming came out with a mission, and Ashland came out sluggish and probably overconfident. Of course, the players and coaches can both be blamed for this, but as stated earlier, maybe the best thing to happen to Ashland early in the season. Both coaches and players learned a good lesson and will benefit from it. I still stand by my statement that Ashland is better at both the guard and post positions. The only real advantage I see for Russell is that it is a home game.

ashland lost 3 players of who'm i believe started last year or played a lot
Ali Wilcox
kim straight
Nikisha Farrow
wilcox and straight were both good 3 point shooters and farrow was good at driving to the basketball and all are hard to replace.
The center d1 signee conner for ashland can't do it all by herself

Ashland should win this game by 14+ if not it really is a 2 team race with Rowan & East

Russell lost Fortman and Simpson from a team that only had a 10-16 record last year. Parsley can't do it all by herself.

Ashland will not need to double down on Parsley - Connor will be fine guarding her by herself (but can Parsley guard Conner by herself?). Even if Parsley were to open up shots against Ashland, who on Russell can make them?
