Bell County 73 - Harlan County 48
#1
1st Year coach david Teague most assuredly made a statement tonight
by taking out one of The 13th region twin powers The harlan county Black Bears. Harlan countys backcourt or lack thereof was exposed.
I can scarcely wait for the Clay County-Bell county matchup the other
half of the 13th region powers. As of now coach teague in my book has the 13th region coach of the year looking good with this amazing turnaround.:1:

Hats of To Coach Teague and the lady cats..after several down seasons this is a
shot in the arm if you please to the girls basketball program. They should handlily defeat Jellico..Lynn Camp and The Defunct pineville team which had several players recently up and quit just 2 games into the season..so count it as 3 more wins in this bowman tournament and the next 4 games will be in a tournament against teams which all have a 50% win average or less so Bell County Might be at or around 10 -1 or at worse 8-3 when coming into their much anticipated county heated rivalry with Middlesboro which is having a very down year. Good Luck to Coach Teague and the lady cats Bell County fans deserve a winning program.

wow Let me eat some crow. I thought Bell would be lucky to stay within 10, but to win by 25 is unreal. Look's like new coach has made a big difference in Bell Co.

Way to go Lady Cat's. Big win. Bell now 2-0 in dis. and 4-1 overall. Alot don't know about you but you have got to be turnning some head's now. Last 2 win's were great with one at Corbin and to be a 20pt. underdog to a great Harlan Co. team and come out with a 25 pt. win is great. Did not watch game tonight because thought would get killed. How did you score 73 on Harlan Co.? Any stats on game? 2 game's over 70 pts. back to back. Can't remember how how long this has been done.

Last time back to back 70+ point's was in 2002-2003. That year the Lady Cat's scored 70+ six times. From 03-04 season till this year they had only 3 games where put up 70, one each of three year's and three with 0 70+ games. New game being played in Bell Co. The off. is scoring more point's but one has to see that Bell's D has been the biggest change this year. Last year's team at this point had gave up 53.25 point's a game . This year's team 44.5 point's a game.

Great Job and keep up the D. that is what wins championships.

Hensley putting up 6 tells something about their D. Congrats Bell. Thought HC would win this game.

Bell Co. is #9 in WYMT top 10. Glad to see Lady Cat's in the top 10. Don't know if they are one of the best team's in the mt's., but glad for the girl's to be rewarded for all the great work they have done up to this point. Harlan Co. was a great win and will be a team that can give Clay a run for their money for the 13th. When Bell Co. can get a win like this has to be a big plus for a team that is most of the time the doormat of the 13th.

PS
Shusss, don't anyone tell South Laurel.
Or North Laurel.
Or Whitley.
Or, Ah heck, don't tell anyone were just still the same ol'e Bell Co.
