Shelby Valley vs. Miller Grove (GA) 12/12: Broadcast 103.1 & 93.1 www.wdhr.com

Who wins this one?..I know Miller Grove is coming in with 3 guys that are over 6'7"..Should be a good test for Valley.
#2
If you are right about the height of the team, then this will be a big test for sv, as we all know, they lost so much height from the graduating seniors. This will also let us know how we will match up with the northern kentucky teams in the finals of the state tournament.

From what some of the football players that go to PC from Georgia have told me, Miller Grove should handle Valley.

Surely your not already putting Valley in the Finals of the Sweet 16.

Dunbar's big man, had what 24?

Should be a BIG BIG test for Valley, if Miller's size is as advertised.

If those guys from Grove are not athletic, SV's transistion game, could still prevail in the end. But, if they are athletic, it could be bad for our Eastern Kentucky team.

Great game and wonderful experience for both teams....

Here is the roster for Miller Grove, GA. They do have some good size...

according to Max Preps, Miller Grove is 19th in Georgia so I'm gonna go with Miller Grove. Best of luck to Valley tho.
#11
The height difference is gonna cause Valley trouble, but I still think they'll pull through..Hatfield will need to have a better game from the 3 point line though.
#12
I'll take Miller Grove by 15
#13
Last season the #3 team from Georgia come in and was defeated by Valley. Just depends on how MG handles the press. If they come out and turn the ball over and force Valley into a half-court game, then MG wins.
#14
They're (MIller Grove) 0-2,so far this season and have two games between now and Saturday. But, of course, I have no idea how good the teams are that have beat them.Hopefully, Valley will show up and play to their abilities and take this team by surprise. No one gave them a shot against Walton, last year, but they handled them pretty well.

Here is their game against Milton earlier this year.

Here are some highlights of their OT loss to Tucker:

Miller Grove looks like a pretty darn good team that likes to run.

Out of state teams usually aren't as disciplined as Kentucky teams but I don't think it'll matter in this match up. I think Miller Grove will have too much size and athleticism for SV.

Miller Grove by around 10.

You are right to correct my statement, I should have worded it differently, if we make it to the State Tournament should have been my statement but I DO EXPECT US TO BE THERE, YES.

Go Valley and best of Luck in representin the region and state.
#20
I believe that Valley will play well and hang with them but Miller Grove will pull away in the 3rd period. I will say Miller Grove-80 Valley-65.

He was in the zone last night from downtown. I think it was posted he had 27. The game is scheduled for I believe 9:30 Saturday, or 8:00 p.m. That does not bode well when playing those late starts.

I hope the guys get enough rest on Friday night, and take it easy Saturday.

I would love to see Shelby Valley win this game, but it will be very difficult for anybody on Shelby Valley's roster to stop Donte Williams in this one.

In looking at this game, I honestly don't see how SV has any business winning against a powerhouse team like Miller Grove. But then again, I didn't think they would win last year against Walton, either. And we all remember how that game turned out.

Still, I will predict that after what happened last year, Miller Grove will not overlook SV. MG wins by 12.

Go big blue. I see SV by 10.:flame:

I wouldnt be suprised to see Valley win.
#26
I see Valley winning this matchup in a close one..Valley's transition is going to stun Miller Grove..And I predict it being a nail biter going into the fourth..Then EJ takes control of the fourth quater..SV 87 MG 83..Should be a great game to watch..We have to be really agressive in the paint..Shut down Donte Williams and Valley has won this one.
#27
In case anybody isn't familiar with who Donte Williams is..http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/...iams-73314

Is this game at Valley? & if so WHAT TIME??
#29
It's at the EXPO Center, I believe at 8:00 on Saturday evening, there are games all weekend for the Farm Bureau Classic.
#30
Does anyone know how Miller Grove matched up with the teams that they lost to in the first two games.
