Lets go! I think Ashland prevails in alot closer game than the clay massacre.
11-05-2005, 12:55 AM
Agreed. Ashland will prevail and score will be much closer. Hopefully there will be a new officiating crew at Putnam this week as well. If officials had a playoff system, the crew at Putnam would have been eliminated tonight. Rock and Mason played to the wire.

the crew was horrible on both sides for each team. But again a W is a W but can not rely on screw ups so fingers crossed that we get a crew that knows a lil of the rule books and know what they are doing.

I have to go with the Tomcats. I honestly think they are 2 touchdowns better than rock.
11-05-2005, 02:30 AM
I know Rockcastle Co. has a tough team. They beat Madison Southern 35-7 maybe Madison Sothern had a bad game I don't know but if Rockcastle Co. is 28 points better than MS Ashland had better buckle up and bring their A game next friday night.

its being played @ putnam
11-05-2005, 12:04 PM
the game is in putnam stadium. last year rock jumped out 20-0 at the half, then ashland won 34-27 in double over time. after half time ashland started running the plays off the sideline because rock was stealing the hand signals. that said rock does have a very good team this year im going to say ashland wins no score prediction just win baby.
11-05-2005, 12:40 PM
yea did the hand singals find them from the khss?
11-05-2005, 12:43 PM

He didn't say APB wasn't that good. He said not just because he thinks Ashland is that good.
I'll take Ashland by 14.

I see that you haven't seen Ashland's schedule. They have played 2A #4 Russell (lost 21-13 with the ball on the goal line to tie the game as time expired), one of the top rushers in the state of Ohio in Jared Pendleton of Portsmouth West (won 42-8), #1 seeded Ironton (OH) (lost 27-26 as Ashland missed a field goal as time expired), and 3A #10 Johnson Central (won 13-10 as Johnson Central missed a game tying field goal as time expired).
Rock has played 1A #2 Danville (lost 0-34), beat a highly regarded but continuously struggling Harrison County (32-14), lost to 3A #9 Bell County (29-33), and beat a good Madison Southern team (35-7).
The only common opponent this season has been Mason County. Ashland won 26-13. Rock won 20-19 as Mason had a field goal blocked that would have won the game from 45 yards away.
To say that either of these is not battle tested are the words of someone who has not been properly informed.

Nice point, Tomcat68! Both teams have been proven against quality opponents in and out of their district, and I don't see how in the world anyone could say that Ashland or Rockcastle hasn't been battle tested.
I expect this to be an exciting game just like last years was, but hopefully this year we won't be down 20-0. RockCastle has great balance on offense (1762 rushing yards, 1789 passing yards), and they always have a tough defense.
This game will be played with a lot of emotion, both teams will be fighting hard to get into the regional final, and Rockcastle will definitely be coming in pumped and looking for some revenge from last year.
I'll take my tomcats in a hard fought battle that goes down to the final minutes.
Ashland- 21
Rockcastle- 14
Good luck to both teams!

i hope rockcastle gets here on time this year. last year they were late and wanted to postpone. then jumped out on us 20-0.
