First it was never 14-0 Evarts, nor was it 27-26 in the fourth. It was 35-26 at halftime in favor of Paintsville. The update thread was way misinformed.

These were scores that were announced at the P-burg/Middlesboro game so something went wrong somewhere.
11-05-2005, 12:44 AM
Now it makes sense.
11-05-2005, 12:47 AM
Scores were incorrect. Paintsville jumped out first 7-0, then Evarts made it 7-6, Evarts went up 12-7, then Paintsville 15-12. It was see saw battle until the second half.

Paintsville was missing Dodderer and Shane Cantrell, Han's replacement. That meant 2 starting DB's and the starting RB. Brown, another DB or OLB, went down early in the game. PHS had to play 4-5 players that have little experience. That's the biggest reason they gave up 40 points.
But, did you notice they had no problem scoring????
Those young DB's better grow up in a great big hurry or PHS's season might be over next week against a very good Lynn Camp.

I wish the boys a quick recovery. Its a bad time in the season to lose them. But a mans health comes first.. Good luck Tigers. It will be an up hill battle.

Have no fear, MOJO is here. Much like last week, this week was not a week for Paintsville's defense. Paintsville has put 1 complete game together this season vs. Hazard, so we'll say that is the Tigers' A game. All I can say is they better bring it next week when Chaffin, Reynolds and the Camp roll into town. Pugh took the Tigers and carried them on his shoulders tonight, specifically the offense. He had 13 carries for 264 yards racking up 4 TD's through the air he was 14 of 17 for 292 yards putting up 4 more TD's, he also returned a punt for a TD. Congrats to Pugh has he surpassed 1000 yard passing mark this evening, way to step up Boxer. As for the defense, Evarts runners ran hard but I'm sure Lynn Camps runners will run twice as hard. Paintsville was without 3 normal starters this evening, Doderer, Cantrell and Collett. Hopefully Collett and Cantrell will be able to lick their wounds to be able to compete next week. For defense, we're going to have to put a helmet on someone and quit this arm tackling bullshit. C'mon guys it's now or never and the old cliche' comes true play hard or go home. Play every play like it's your last, GO BIG BLUE!!!!
