Belfry is well coached, shoots well, aggressive, and they play good defense. They have a point guard that can break a defense down. She can hit the short shot or dish it off to an open person. I saw Belfry play 5 summer games, without Deskins, and was impressed with them each time.

57th District is brutal. It has 3 of the top 5 teams. It also has 6 of the top 12 players.

Johnson Central has a very good freshman class coming in. They won the state middle school championship last year. I think their best years are ahead of them.

I have JCHS 5th in the region rght now, but they just might end up maturing quicker and be the best in the region.

Paintsville will have their best team in a long time and might not make it out of the district. 57th is TOUGH.

Magoffin is out for revenge. Last years loss was a big disappointment. The team and fans are ready for Magoffin to bring home its first region title. With this team's talent, experience and drive 2006 may be their year.

Magoffin-A very talented program with many weapons returning. They are by far the favorite in the 15th region and should be.

Belfry-Is a very young and talented ball club Shae will have another great season and will put Belfry in the 15th regional tourny.

Paintsville- They are as well young just like their boys team. Last season paintsville suprised alot of people look for them to do the same this year.

Johnson Central- Is out to prove themselves this season and will have quite a few hot hands on their team.

Pike Central- The reason with such a low ranking is due to all the contoversey surounding them. They are a great ball club but it will be intresting seeing how they regain compsure this season. Tussey couldn't control the attitudes hopefully Butcher will do a better job.

Let's see if Butcher can get them to a Regional Final like Tussey's team did. Oh and by the way...Tussey did have those attitude's suspended several times. Same thing Butcher is running into. It's not always the coach...it's the kids. Oh, by the way...is being ranked 3rd low? No
So Butcher should have the team 1st or 2nd anything less is not good enough.

Well I am sorry to inform you 15thREGIONSLAMMABAMMA, but EAST RIDGE is more than just honorable mentions, those girl have lots of talent. I don't know about you, but I have watched them in some pre season games and they are doin excellent. They have a few more weeks left before actual season starts and I would hate to see them girls after that, because they sure are going to be a tough group to beat.. East Ridge Lady Warriors All The Way!!!

The reason i mentioned them even was due to the fact i felt as if they had a good shot of making it through this seson. They DO NOT have to talent to win region. Will East Ridge make the regional tournament yes could they win the district possibly. East Ridge as well has a pretty weak schedule the teams they play OUTSIDE the region are Mt. MIssion, Haysi which from what ive been told are 2 very weak teams. But then i will give them that they are playing a decently tough Knott County Central team. They as well play LCC but we do not know how good this team is. My point is that you can not get any beter to win a regional or make a regional championship unless you get out and play some of the top teams in the state like the Louisville Ballards.

5)Paintsville- They'll have to prove they can replace Ashley Hall's defense and leadership. They'll still be the best PHS team in very long time, but might not make it out of the district. They can't live just with Jarrell's 20 pts and 15-20 rebounds. They have to have good guard play, play good defense, and limit TO's. Right now, I don't know if they can do that.

LOL Hey champ and what did they do in the regional tourny oh yeah thats right they got BLOWN OUT by 18 points to Belfry not to say Belfry was a bad team and oh yeah Pike Central made it to the regional CHAMPIONSHIP.
Well if you look at the teams that win regional championships they dont play push over out of state teams. Pike Central the reason they are so succesful year in and year out is the girls get better by playing teams like LOUISVILLE BALLARD. But i guess we will see who is right once the season starts.
