So does McCreary County think they can win? Their coach didn't seem like it, I talked to him yesterday.

That's funny none of us can remember that conversation! If McCreary's coaches and players don't think they can win they have no business coaching or playing. TongueirateSho

I don't think Coach Gay, Coach Payne, Coach Stephens, Coach Jones or Coach Stiltner would be working as hard this week if they thought they didn't have a chance to win. Probally would be drinking Ice Water and eating watermelon instead of working on LC. I'm always amazed at the things people post. Good Luck to Both Teams.

And your baseing your prediction on ???
Lawrence going away
none of you remember that conversation because you was not on the phone when I spoke with him Tuesday. I called him and talked to him for 20 mins. I wouldn't be making it up so you can crush that comment right now.

It's called sandbagging, my friend. Did you fall for it?

I am a high school coach at Mccreary and we talked about this today so if you talked to a coach from McCreary it wasn't a high school football coach, so I guess it is not only squashed but it is now flushed down the toilet!:flush:
By the way, this games gets a little harder after we had to dismiss two starters today for team a rules violation. Both starters 1 Sr and 1 Jr. That makes a total of 7 starters out for us right now. 3 of them started on offense and 5 of them started on defense. But, the way I look at it is this. If you are a good team you play through bad times and find ways to win. Our JV team had a winning season this year so the kids (all freshmen and sophmores) that we have asked to step up in these positions are use to being winners and we expect them to play like it. I can't wait until Friday Night under the Lights, man I love high school football!

Good luck to you guys. Have a safe trip to Louisa. It should be a exciting night of football. I hope the Bulldogs can keep it going and get another win. Good luck Bulldogs. Be prepared for a tough fight Friday and bring you're best game.

Thanks WildDawg, most everyone on here from Lawrence seems to be class acts. I love high school football and the players that put so much of their time playing and preparing for it (365 days a year). I have respect for all high school football players and by watching game film for more hours than I can count, Lawrence Co is full of very good high school football players. I am excited about the game this Friday (not so much the trip) but definatly the game under those Friday Night Lights!TongueirateSho

HouseofPain Wrote:I can understand what cellking is talking about. 1/3 of a schedule is just 3 games and looking at LC schedule Pineville would definately have a very good chance of winning 3 games if they played that schedule. Pineville is not a bad team, they had good speed and were very strong. With that said there is a lot more that goes into being a very good team like team unity and support from all areas and things like that which I can't reply on since there is no way for me to know. I don't think he meant it was like beating Bell or anything but you guys should know as well as I do that any win over a solid team is a big win when you are trying to build a program that is the very reason LC made a great decision to adjust their schedule and it has paid off in a big way. I am sure that you all think several of your wins are big wins and to teams like Bole, Bell and Lex Cath they would not be considered big wins. Just trying to point out where I think cellking was coming from, I don't think he was trying to insult LC or their fans.

Pineville could have easily been 7-3 instead of 4-6. They had a 42 point swing with five turnovers in red zone converted by Lynn Camp into points each time...yet only lost by 13. They lost to Harlan in the mud by a touchdown.....good field conditions could have easily gone the other way. Lost a 13 point lead in fourth quarter to exciting Williamsburg Qb Moses last Friday. A missed field goal sealed their fate at buzzer in one point loss. Hazard was the only blowout game.....(they've done that to a lot of teams of all sizes..)...Pineville led McCreary by about two touchdowns at one time, I believe in first half. McCreary-4-A...Estill County 3-A were their other losses. They match up well with Allen Central and may pull the upset in Eastern Friday night. For 1-A they played a tough schedule.
It was the head coach I talked to on the phone his name was Clinton Gay, so don't sit there and say I didn't when I did. He didn't say they were going to lose what coach would say that? He just knows how much LC is than his team and I don't see anything wrong with that. Good luck to both teams.
Well I cant wait its just one day away from GAME DAY!!! Oh and did I say and Get Off The Tracks!!!!

It's not one thing we do 100% better than anyone else, but 100 things we do 1% better than everyone else.

LET'S GO DAWGS!!!!
Does the #4 normally beat the #! ? Good luck both teams and be safe.

Hey bud, read my post and you will see I am not using anything as an excuse so do say here we go again. I coach to win and our players play to win. i don't care who we have on the field they have been working hard and they will come with their ears laid back. It is people like you that tend to make excuses for your team when they don't win. I was just pointing oout the obvious for our fans not for you.:argue:
ill pick lc 49-12
best of luck to both teams

It's a long way, 4 1/2 hrs. on a Bus. I know Coach Gay no way he said his team didn't have a chance to win this game. He's not that way. So get rid of this now.:flush:
