Any Ky. HS football programs with 20 or more yrs. without a losing record?
#1
Do anyone know any programs that have extended streaks of consecutive seasons without a losing seasons?

Here is Rockcastle's streak so far:

1986= 6-4
1987= 9-2
1988= 8-3
1989= 7-4
1990= 9-2
1991= 11-2
1992= 11-2
1993= 10-2
1994= 8-4
1995= 10-2
1996= 9-2
1997= 9-2
1998= 6-5
1999= 10-3
2000= 13-1
2001= 14-1
2002= 13-2
2003= 9-3
2004= 8-4
2005= 11-3
2006= 11-2
2007= 6-6
2008= 8-4

As of the 2009 season goes, Rockcastle is currently 4-5 with 3 possible games remaining, I hope that this team can continue to carry the torch. Any other program out there that can share this feat?:notworthy Rockcastle deserves that kind of respect going that many seasons without a losing record (23) straight years.

Danville has not had a losing season since 1979. (Until this year)

That's fairly impressive. I think their last losing season before 1979 was maybe the 40's or 50's. I don't know.

I think Rockcastle is the only mountain team without a losing record in the last 20 plus years I believe if I'm not mistaken.

Id be curious to know when Highlands' last losing season was.

Bell County hasn't had a losing season since 1982. Dudley Hilton has had 33 consecutive winning season's.

Sorry. Should have posted my source. This wasn't common knowledge for me. I looked it up here: http://www.highlands-bluebirds.com/YBYR--2.html

I am almost certain Highlands had a losing record about 5 years ago, Mayfield's last unsuccessful season was 73 when they were only 500.

Belfry?

I know Russells last losing season was 97 when they finished 3-7. Before that Id say you have to venture to early 70's or 60's. This class was really torn apart by the Ashland move. Most of Russell was, if not for that I imagine Russell may have won 4-5 State Titles in a row in the late 90's early 00'. Id say around 35 major players moved out that would have contributed to those years.

In what class?

Boyle won AA in '99 and '00 so I don't see it happening then. Bardston and Breathitt were pretty dominant following those seasons.

Maybe the thread should be for consecutive non - losing seasons while playing within the rules.

Do you mind sharing some proof of that Because Coach Saylor said that Bell County had a losing season in the mid-1980's. And .500 seasons do count because the .500 season doesn't indicate a losing season or a winning season.

Highlands streak ended in 2004 with a 2-13 record due to forfeiture, but goodness winning seasons from 1949 to 2003 is a heck of a streak in nothern kentucky, I honestly believe that Rockcastle is in the top 3 active winning season streaks right now, and Rockcastle has to be the only mountain team to be ranked in the top winning programs since 1990. Rockcastle was ranked 7th best since 1990 but that stat was given back in 2005, there might have been a change since.

I dont see Bell with a losing record any time soon

Anyone know when Trinity's last losing season was?

He is wrong.

Well that is simply put.

The worse record Bell CO. has had was 6-5 in 2000, which I think was the last year under Tom Greer. They lost to Ashland and Arliss Beech in the 1st round.

Bell Co. has never had a losing season since the new school was built in 84.

Actually I dont think they qualify. They had a couple seasons in the early-mid 90's where they either finished .500 or below if I am not mistaken finished one game below .500..somone may be able to correct me on that though.

I could be wrong, but it seemed like the Matt McCoy years at Qb and possibly one of the years Barry Crum was at QB.

Belfry is definitely good from 95' on though per the KHSAA website

Is this the same guy who told you that Rockcastle was the only team to ever shut out Bell at Log Mountain? Confusedhh:

1983 6-5
1984 10-1
1985 9-3
1986 9-3
1987 10-3
1988 9-3
1989 11-1
1990 13-1
1991 10-5 (14-1) 4 forfeits
1992 13-1
1993 13-1
1994 11-2
1995 10-2
1996 12-2
1997 9-5
1998 10-2
1999 9-3
2000 6-5
2001 9-4
2002 9-4
2003 8-2
2004 12-2
2005 10-3
2006 9-3
2007 12-1
2008 15-0

I know that those are correct may be 85 and 86 could be wrong on the losses if they are I will correct them when I get to where I can find out for sure. There hasn't been a losing season since 1982 when they went 0-11. In 1984 was the first year of consolidating the schools.
