I wonder if the game vs Wayne has something to do with it, police say witnesses seen lights in the area around the time.
#3
They are probably going to need some equipment to be able to play. I wonder if any area teams have some extra equipment to loan or give so the rebels can play
#4
Wayne (LOL) and Spring Valley have offered equipment plus they say they've already ordered new.

From the article
Wayne Superintendent, Gary Adkins says both Wayne and Spring Valley have offered replacement equipment. New equipment has already been ordered.
I thought that was a great gesture.

If this was anything other than an accident, then I hope they find the guilty parties.
#6
Well Tolsia, Wayne and Spring Valley are all part of the Wayne County school district.

So, has anything come of it? Do they suspect arson? Aliens? What?

I am sorry to hear that. Best of luck to all the boys over there. That is a shame, and I hope they catch the people who did that.

Wow, I feel so bad for the athletes there. What a travesty
#11
I'm sure the school board over there will replace everything, but I hope this was an accident and not intentional.
#12
Very unfortunate that this happened. I Hope everything gets worked out the right way.
#13
I hate this for them.... I pass by there quite often when traveling to Huntington...... Hopefully, they find out who did this (if not an accidental incident) and everything gets replaced that the team has lost!

Thats kind of interesting that this happened right before they're scheduled to play they're rival. Rivalries can get pretty heated, prime example Perry Central vs Hazard. I would hope that they didn't take it to that extent but it does sound like it could have been someone from the opposing school that did this, going by some of the reports.
#15
I wish the best for them and hope that everything gets replaced as soon as possible.
#16
I hate it for the kids. I'd say it was probably some young houdilum!
#17
Wayne and Tolsia is one of the most hated rivals around. It probably use to be Fort Gay and Louisa back in the day. Then Louisa became Lawrence County and Fort Gay became Tolsia.
#18
This is terrible. I am glad to hear that other schools have stepped in to loan equipment while the team waits for replacements. I hope the perpatrators are caught and that it is completely unrelated to any school rivalry.
#19
Hate to hear this and i hope they get to the bottom of this and find the guilty party.
#20
Keep your heads up Tolsia....It looks as if someone if trying to distract you from thinking about the rest of your season. At least no one was hurt all the items lost, execpt for the tapes, can be replaced. Look at the bright side of thing, you will be getting new equipment.
#21
Just heard that Lawrence County has donated equipment as well. I'm sure Batp will be able to confirm this.
#22
Very sad too hear this right before such a big important game. Keep your heads up Rebals!
#23
Hate this for anybody are they getting any help what happened will they continue to play and if so how
#24
It has been ruled as arson. Their game Friday against Wayne has been moved to Saturday.
#25
Rivalries go too far when they take on criminal aspects. Good luck Tolsia. I'm sure this will only make them play harder.
#26
Earlier this week, someone set fire to Tolsia's football facality building destroying everything. They were scheduled to play Wayne last night, but the game was moved to today. Why would anyone want to do this to those great bunch of kids????

If it was indeed a person who did this, then that person is truly heartless.

There is already a thread about this on page 2 or 3 where people on this site were talking about it.
#29
It will be interesting tonight as I plan on making the trip to Wayne to watch this game.
